Develop asset allocation solutions responsive to client risk return objectives and asset class preferences.

Investigate and recommend investment managers or create customized solutions that respond directly to client needs.

Monitor and evaluate manager performance and proactively suggest corrective action.

Thoroughly communicate strategies to build a high level of client understanding and mutual agreement.




Establish credit/liquidity facilities.

Serve as liaison with outside advisors (legal, bank, tax, insurance, etc).

Develop financial reports for all entities/individuals.

Prepare expense budgets and analyze variances from budgeted and projected amounts.

Oversee cash management and facilitate authorization for cash movement.

Perform account reconciliation and investigate account differences.

Pay household bills.




Coordinate with legal counsel to develop, implement, and maintain wealth transfer strategies.

Coordinate implementation of estate planning strategies.

Document and clarify estate plan.

Serve as liaison with external trustees and beneficiaries.

Prepare materials for trustees' meetings and serve as meeting secretary.

Coordinate estate administration functions (facilitate and obtain trustee authorization, etc).

Administer trust distributions.

Coordinate strategic tax planning for all taxable entities.

Serve as primary liaison for external tax advisors.




Assist family members in developing a philanthropic mission.

Investigate charitable requests and make recommendations to the family.

Implement charitable giving after decisions are made by family members.

Implement investment program for foundation assets.

Provide administrative support and record keeping for family foundations.




Coordinate risk management activities.

Evaluate the cost of obtaining insurance versus electing to self insure.

Obtain appropriate insurance policies.

File and track claims.




Educate family members on investment strategies and implementation.

Educate younger generations on wealth management issues.

Assist personal trustees in understanding and implementing investment strategies.




Seek input from and facilitate communication with all family constituencies.

Represent the family in negotiating and closing financial transactions.
Example: negotiate purchase contract and facilitate closing for a personal residence.

Coordinate payroll and tax filings for domestic staff.
